First Dream.
I was in a bedroom in England in a house that wasn't mine I'm not sure who's house it was. The house was in a style like those in Pakistan, very big, marble floors and big furniture.
I was sat on the bed and in the room was myself, my sister, aunty and cousin. There was a navy blue suitcase in the corner which was my sisters as in my dream she has come back off holiday from Pakistan. It was unzipped but closed. The lid lifted and a thin black snake came out. I was very scared but it slid across the floor and up like a big step to get out the door. I thought ok it's gone everything's ok. I later turned in my dream and a huge white snake slid into the room and I was shaking with fear. My aunty gave me a bat to kill it, I hit it, it moved but didn't die, i jumped on the bed petrified as it slowly slithered on the floor and woke up shaking.
Second dream.
I have this often. I'm running through my house and snakes are snapping at me (usually black) as I shut doors on them, and I run up to my bedroom where one is sat on my bed coiled as though it's waiting. In dreams I have never been bitten by a snake.
Hi Izzy,
Thanks for sending me details of your dreams, hope I can help.
Both these dreams are obviously connected with the snakes but I think the first is you attempting to deal with the second.
The
snakes seem to represent worry or confusion. In the second dream snakes
are snapping at you, chasing you through your own house and taking over
your bed. In this dream fear and confusion seem to be taking control.
In
the first dream you give yourself space and comfort in where you are,
it is not a place you know so you are not allowing the snake into your
own home as in the second dream. Also in this dream you not the snake
are sitting on the bed. You also have a support network of family. This
should feel safe but the thin black snake comes from your sisters
suitcase showing that the problem is still there. You don't act but hope
it will go away, it does slither away but only to be replaced by
something bigger and more frightening. But this time you are not on your
own, your family help you to try to get rid of this intruder.
These
dreams are obviously very frightening for you to wake up shaking. The
dream in the big house seems to show you dealing with whatever caused
your recurring snake dream in a positive way. These dreams could be a
way of dealing with changes in your life or important decisions that you
have to make. Something that might change your relationship with family
or friends
